applied to Quantum Mechanics

Berlin
14 - 15 July, 2016

Home Location Registration Program Accomodation

The aim of the workshop is to bring together mathematicians and physicists who are interested in mathematical problems of quantum mechanics which are related to extension theory for symmetric operators in some sense.

The workshop focuses on
  • Point contacts
  • Quantum graphs
  • Boundary triplets
  • Boundary value problems for Schrödinger operators
  • Scattering problems and scattering matrix
  • Spectral shift function and perturbation determinant
  • Trace formulas and Birman-Krein formula
  • Tensor products and boundary triplets
  • Point contact models for bosons and fermions
  • Quantum dots and cavities
  • Quantum transport
  • Landauer-Büttiker formula
The NewMET2016 workshops will take place just before the ECM2016 in Berlin!
