Current Research at the Interface of Continuum Physics and Applied Mathematics
October 08–10, 2025
Weierstrass Institute Berlin

in memoriam Wolfgang Dreyer (1950 - 2024)
Scientific Scope
This workshop highlights recent advances at the interface of continuum physics and applied mathematics. It is dedicated to the late Wolfang Dreyer, former head of the research group Thermodynamic Modeling and Analysis of Phase Transitions
at WIAS and honorary professor at the Technical University of Berlin, Faculty V, Transport and Machine Systems.
The event brings together researchers working on theoretical, computational and applied aspects of the field and fosters discussions on cutting-edge topics from thermomechanics, multiscale modelling and mathematics of materials.
There will be invited and contributed talks, opportunities for collaboration and networking, and a special session in honor of the life and scientific work of Wolfgang Dreyer with close colleagues, friends and former students.
