ACCOMODATION
Getting to the Humboldt University Guesthouse
The guesthouse is located near the following stations: "Friedrichstraße",
"Oranienburger Tor", and "Oranienburger
Straße". The walking distance from these stations to the guesthouse
is about 5-10 minutes.
These are two possibilities of getting to the Humboldt
University Guesthouse:
- From the station "Friedrichstraße" (S-Bahn):
Follow the street Friedrichstraße in northern direction. After
3 minutes walk you will cross the river Spree (Weidendamm Bridge). Turn
right into the street Ziegelstraße (before the variety theatre "Friedrichstadt Palast").
Stay on the right hand side of the street and go straight to the last building
(at the corner). This is the guesthouse (No. 13 A).
- From the station "Oranienburger Tor" (U-Bahn):
Take the exit "Friedrichstraße/Reinhardtstraße". Follow
the street Friedrichstraße in southern direction. On the left hand
side, after 3 minutes walk (behind the variety theatre "Friedrichstadt
Palast"), turn left to the street Ziegelstraße. Walk on the right hand side
of the street to the last building (at the corner). This is the guesthouse
(No. 13 A).

Arrival at the guesthouse
Opening hours of the guesthouse reception: Monday-Sunday: 6:00 a.m. -
10:00 p.m. (This varies on public holidays.)
Rooms are available from 2 p.m. on arrival day.
In case that you arrive later than 10 p.m., special arrangements can be made by the workshop organizers.
Breakfast
No breakfast is served in the guesthouse.
However, you can have breakfast in the immediate vicinity, e.g. in the Hotel
"Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Haus" in Ziegelstraße 30 (from &euro 12 upwards),
in the "baxpax downtown Hostel hotel" in Ziegelstraß 28 (breakfast buffet for 5.50 &euro), or in one of the
numerous nearby cafes and restaurants.
