FUHRI2021:
Finite volUme metHods for Real-world
applIcations
Berlin, April 29, 2021
Overview
The online workshop ''FUHRI2021: Finite volUme metHods for
Real-world applIcations'' will take place on April 29, 2021
on the occasion of Dr. Jürgen Fuhrmann's 60th birthday.
Participants are kindly invited to contribute personal stories and anecdotes
with Jürgen in the special session at the end of the workshop.
To share and spread Jürgen's passion for coding in the Julia programming language,
we organize a ''Hackathon''. Therein, interested participants can jointly learn
and contribute to the development of numerical algorithms and methods in Julia.
Topics will be: ''First Steps with Julia'', ''Parallelization with Julia'', ''Automatic differentiation with Julia'',
''Grid generation with Julia'', ..., but participants can also work on their own projects.
A preparatory Julia installation session for Julia newcomers
will take place on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2pm CEST.
All participants should
REGISTER
ONLINE
until April 23, 2021.
