"Hausvogteiplatz", which is in the center of Berlin near the famous
Gendarmenmarkt.

How to get to the
Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics

...from airport:
Tegel:
Take the bus line TXL from the airport (the bus starts there)
in the
direction of Alexanderplatz. Get off at Staatsoper (15 stops - this takes about 31 minutes) and turn to the right into
Oberwallstrasse, which ends at Hausvogteiplatz. The light yellow building at the corner Mohrenstrasse/Hausvogteiplatz is our institute. It's a five-minute walk to WIAS.
If you want to avoid the walk, take the bus line X9 from the airport (the bus starts there) and get off at Ernst-Reuter-Platz (4 stops). This takes about 15 minutes. Take the underground U2 from there in the direction of Pankow and get off at Hausvogteiplatz (10 stops). This takes another 17 minutes.
Schönefeld:
Please take the shuttle bus to the S-Bahn station. Take the suburban train line S9 (S-Bahn)
from the station Berlin-Schönefeld in the
direction of Grunewald, or, alternatively, you can take a regional
train in the direction of Zoologischer Garten (goes every 30
minutes). Get off either at Alexanderplatz station (see below) or at Friedrichstrasse (see below). It will take you about 50 minutes to get here.

Potsdamer Platz:
Take the underground U2 in the direction of Pankow and get off at Hausvogteiplatz
(3 stops - this takes 4 minutes).
Hauptbahnhof (Lehrter Bahnhof):
Take any suburban
train in eastern direction, i.e. Strausberg (line S5), Ahrensfelde (S7), Wartenberg (S75) or Schoenefeld (S9). Get off either at Friedrichstrasse (1 stop) or at Alexanderplatz (3 stops). See below for further information.
Zoologischer Garten: Take the underground U2 in the direction of Pankow and get off at Hausvogteiplatz (9 stops - this takes 16 minutes).
Ostbahnhof:
Take any suburban train in western direction, i.e. Grunewald (line S9), Spandau
(lines S5 or S75), Wannsee (line S7). Get off either at station Alexanderplatz (2 stops) or at Friedrichstrasse (4 stops).

Take the suburban train in the direction of Spandau (lines S5 or S75) or Wannsee (line S7). Get off either at station Alexanderplatz (6 stops) or at Friedrichstrasse (8 stops). See below for further information.
Alexanderplatz:
Take the underground line U2 in the direction of Ruhleben or Theodor-Heuss-Platz. Get off at Hausvogteiplatz. See below for further information.
Friedrichstrasse: Take the underground line U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf. Get off

Stadtmitte (line U6):
Either take the underground line U2 in the direction of Pankow and get off at Hausvogteiplatz, which is the next station, or just walk there (turn right from Friedrichstrasse into Mohrenstrasse), follow the Mohrenstrasse (pass the Hilton Hotel
and the Gendarmenmarkt) until the end of the street. The
last (light yellow) building on the left is our institute
(at the corner Mohrenstrasse/Hausvogteiplatz).
Hausvogteiplatz (line U2:)
Leave the station in the direction of Hausvogteiplatz.
Coming up the stairs turn right
and walk a few metres straight
onto the Mohrenstrasse. On the corner, you will
find our institute (a light yellow building). Please
use the entrance from the Mohrenstrasse.
