Research Assistant Position (f/m/d)

in the Research Group

Numerical Mathematics and Scientific Computing

(Head: Prof. Dr. V. John) starting at the earliest possible date.

The applicant is expected to perform active research in the development and implementation of advanced numerical methods for flow and transport problems, like reduced order models, adaptive methods or parallel methods, as well as in utilizing these methods for the simulation of applications.

The applicant should possess substantial knowledge in the implementation of finite element methods. A university diploma or master degree in mathematics or a closely related discipline as well as a PhD degree are required.

The appointment is limited for three years. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German public service tariff scale.
