Leibniz MMS Science Slam

We are happily looking back to the 2nd Leibniz MMS Science Slam. Science slams are fun competitions in which the participants present their research in a casual, entertaining way. The topics should be MMS related, the talks at most ten minutes long. Contributions can contain poetry, dance, rap, live experiments, etc. - everything to the extent permitted by law. As a matter of course there had been a phenomenal prize to win.

The MMS Science Slam took place on March 27, 2025 from 18:00 to 18:45 in the Lecture Hall at IOW with the following, outstanding contributions:

  • Winner contribution: Anieza Maltsi (WIAS Berlin) - "What do you do for a living?" A deeply philosophical question
  • Stefano Cassola (IVW Kaiserslautern) - Hiding the pain and the great wait for the simple solution
  • Guest Slamer: Sibylle Seemann (Löwenstein Medical Technology; formerly WIAS) - Warum beschäftigen sich Mathematiker(innen) mit Kühen?
(this presentation had been compiled for another occasion to be presented in German and was therfore again be presented in German)
