We are happy to announce the 2nd Leibniz MMS Science Slam. Science slams are fun competitions in which the participants present their research in a casual, entertaining way. The topics should be MMS related, the talks at most ten minutes long. Contributions can contain poetry, dance, rap, live experiments, etc. - everything to the extent permitted by law. As a matter of course there will be a phenomenal prize to win again and, like all the other scientific activities at MMS days, contributions will be recorded and provided to the public if the presenters agree. So, let's put minds in creativity mode .

The MMS Science Slam takes place on March 27, 2025 from 18:00 to 18:45 in the Lecture Hall at IOW. We are looking forward to the following contributions to the competition:

• Anieza Maltsi (WIAS Berlin) - "What do you do for a living?" A deeply philosophical question
• Stefano Cassola (IVW Kaiserslautern) - Hiding the pain and the great wait for the simple solution

and we are happy to welcome as our guest slamer

• Sibylle Seemann (Löwenstein Medical Technology; formerly WIAS) - Warum beschäftigen sich Mathematiker(innen) mit Kühen?
