About IAP
The Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP) is a research institute of the Leibniz Association with research focus on the middle atmosphere (details are in the Scientific Framework Program). It is connected with the teaching and research programme of the University of Rostock through a close cooperation. The scientists of the three departments are engaged in numerous national and international research activities. A wide scientific and technical expertise together with an advance infrastructure and modern equipment offer excellent research conditions. The annual budget of the IAP is about 7 Mio Euro and it employs (status of November 2015) 83 people, including 19 PhD students. It realizes an equal-opportunity and family-friendly human resource policy and is certified with the audit "berufundfamile" ('career and family').
