  2. Quantum Transport and Excitations from Macro to Nanoscale, Aalborg, Denmark, November 11-13, 2005
  3. Aspects mathematiques du transport dans les systemes mesoscopiques, Marseille, France, December 18-20, 2006

Synopsis

The goal of the workshop is to give the opportunity to interchange ideas about modeling of charge transport in semiconductor devices. The workshop shall bring together specialists working in different fields.

The charge transport theory can be described within the non-equilibrium steady state theory (NESS) which has become a relevant research area studied by many physicists in the last years.

On the other hand, on the modeling of semiconductor devices are also working specialists coming from description of bulk semiconductors.

The goal of the workshop is to promote communication between both groups of researchers, studying same physical problems, in order to achieve significant progress in the modeling of transport phenomena in semiconductor mesoscopic systems.
