Overview

The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) organizes a workshop on advances in modeling and simulation of semiconductor devices. It will be held at WIAS from July 14-16, 2004. The aim of the workshop is to bring together applied mathematicians and scientists from semiconductor physics and to give them the opportunity to exchange experience in the field of modeling and simulation of micro-, nano-, and optoelectronic semiconductor devices.

• Physical modeling of micro-, nano-, and optoelectronic devices and their technology
• Design of efficient simulation software
• Presentation of simulation results of state-of-the-art devices
• Analytical and numerical investigation of relevant model equations
• Qualitative properties of systems of partial differential equations arising in related application areas
