Junior Female Researchers
in Probability

Financial support is available for female postdocs, PhD and Master's students.

The goal of the workshop is to offer junior female researchers in stochastics a platform to talk about their own research work and to get acquainted with important research topics presented by well-established female researchers.

To cover various topics in probability and its applications, two keynote talks by outstanding female probabilists and four invited talks are planned. Moreover, a number of contributed talks will be chosen by the organizing committee among the submitted abstracts.

The possibility to attend the workshop is of course open to everybody, male participants are more than welcome. However, the contributed talks and the financial support will be reserved for female researchers only.

The conference will start on the morning of Wednesday, July 3, and end in the afternoon of Friday, July 5. Please find here the timetable and the book of abstracts.

The conference dinner will be on Thursday evening.
On Wednesday, the female participants are invited to take part in a Q&A session with the speakers.

How to contribute

We warmly invite whomever identifies as female to apply for a contributed talk, by submitting a title and an abstract in the registration form.

Financial support is available for female postdocs, PhD and Master students.
Please indicate via the registration form whether you apply for financial support. Additionally please submit a short CV and and an estimate of the travel and accommodation cost to JFRP24@wias-berlin.de by April 13, 2024.

For PhD and Master's students, please send also a short recommendation letter from your scientific supervisor to JFRP24@wias-berlin.de also by April 13, 2024.

Decisions will be made by April 30, 2024.

TU Berlin

The venue of the workshop is the lecture hall on the ground floor of the HBS building of TU Berlin, at Hardenbergstra├če 16-18, 10623 Berlin.

Getting there

The venue is close to the U-Bahn stations Ernst-Reuter-Platz, on the U2 line and Zoologischer Garten on the U2 and U9 lines.
