The aim of the workshop is to bring together applied mathematicians, physicists and engineers and to give them the opportunity to exchange experience in the field of nonlinear phenomena in optoelectronic devices. The workshop focuses on:
  • Theoretical and experimental aspects of laser dynamics
  • Modeling of field and carrier dynamics in semiconductor laser devices
  • Model reduction using dynamical systems theory
  • Bifurcation theory, analytical and numerical methods in optoelectronics
  • Numerical methods for simulation of edge emitting broad area lasers and VCSELs
  • Ring and edge emitting multisection lasers
  • High power tapered and broad area lasers and amplifiers
  • Lasers with delayed feedback
  • Mode-locking in lasers
  • Frequency swept lasers
  • Micro- and nanolasers
  • Synchronization of laser arrays
  • Polarization dynamics in VCSELs
  • Spatial and temporal localized structures of light
