Research Assistant Position (f/m/d)

in the Research Group

Numerical Mathematics and Scientific Computing

(Head: Prof. Dr. V. John) starting at the earliest possible date.

The applicant is expected to perform active research in the development, analysis, implementation and applicaton of numerical methods for flow and transport problems based on modern element methods. The preferential area of applications are electrochemical, micro- and nanofluidic systems.

The applicant should possess substantial knowledge in the theoretical investigation and implementation of modern finite element methods. Relevant experience in the simulation of electrochemical systems would be an advantage. A university diploma or master degree in mathematics or a closely related discipline as well as a PhD degree are required.

The appointment is limited for three years. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German public service tariff scale.
