The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises eight non-university research institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The research institutes are members of the Leibniz Association.
WIAS invites applications for a
Research Assistant Position
in the Research Group
(Head: Priv.-Doz Dr. Uwe Bandelow) starting at the earliest possible date. Applicants are expected to contribute to the research topic ”Theory of Dynamical Systems“ and should have a university degree with PhD, and experiences in the field of Nonlinear Dynamics (e.g. bifurcation theory, delay-differential equations, dynamics of coupled systems) and related applications (e.g. optoelectronics, neuroscience), as well as the willingness to collaborate responsibly in applied industrial projects.

The initial appointment is for two years and can be extended. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
