Research Assistant Position

in the Research Group

“Interacting Random Systems”

(Head: Prof. Dr. Wolfgang König) starting on October 1, 2017.

The successful applicant will use probabilistic methods to analyse large interacting random systems, especially large particle systems with interactions and random influences of various kinds.

Applicants are expected to hold a university master’s degree in mathematics or physics.  Applicants with PhDs are welcome.  Experience in the following areas would strengthen your application: large deviations, stochastic processes, and statistical physics.  The research group works on applications of mathematics in physics, chemistry and telecommunications.

The initial appointment is limited to two years, but with the possibility of extension. The salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
