in the Research Group “Laser Dynamics” (Head: PD
Dr. Uwe Bandelow)
starting at the earliest possible date.
The position is associated with the research project of the German
Research Council
“Activity patterns in delay-coupled systems"
within
the framework of the Collaborative Research Center SFB 910 „Control of
self-organizing nonlinear systems: Theoretical methods and concepts of
applications“. Necessary for employment is a university degree in
mathematics or physics. Moreover, some
background in nonlinear dynamics, delay differential equations, or coupled
systems is desirable. The applicant is expected to work on a PhD thesis project.

The initial appointment is limited for two years and
can be extended. The reduced work schedule is 29,25 hours per week, and the
salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.
