Elliptic and Parabolic Equations - Abstract

A nonlinear pseudodifferential equation (generalizing the porous medium equation) describing the dynamics of dislocations in crystals will be presented. In that equation, the long time asymptotics of solutions is described by explicit compactly supported self-similar profiles.
